“Praise be to God … who comfort us in all our tribulations … so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God 2 Cor 1:3-4a”

Matthew 11: 28-30, Jesus Christ quoted in The Bible:
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Why SOS offers Support to families and friends in a substance abuse crisis

Finding out that someone close to you is addicted to substances such as drugs or alcohol can have a destructive effect OR be a God’s Grace moment .  You choose.

SOS West Rand is made up of a group of people who have undergone a similar journey and their experiences have become their witness of God’s Grace.  The same can happen to you – your choice.

As such, SOS West Rand hopes to make your journey a bit easier with education, advice and support.

We know the effect of drug abuse in homes or the work place. It can create havoc and therefore you should not be dealing with this on your own.

Most friends and family tend to keep the problem a secret, making the problem so much harder to solve.

Those in the know, who have had to walk the road before, will tell you that it need not be a personal crisis.  Before you consider your options, find out what substance abuse is all about, the why, what and the how’s.
